NIGEL WRIGHT

Professional

Professionally my interests centre on Corporate Finance, combining numerate certainty with a broad minded strategic outlook.

I qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Mann Judd and Co in 1973 before working in financial roles for Carrington Viyella, EMI Records, and Tefal.  In 1980 I gained an MBA from INSEAD and joined Citibank.

In 1984 I a co-founded and  was MD of Industrial Technology Securities (ITS) an EIS (then BES) Venture capital fund manager that invested £3.5M into 20 early stage technology companies, returning £8.5M to investors/management and leaving a legacy of at least 10 businesses that trade today, albeit mainly as parts of other businesses.

ITS wound down in 1988 when changes in the tax rates precluded making further investments.

Nigel Wright Corporate Finance was formed in 1990 and has carried out assignments across a broad range of corporate finance activities: business planning, deal structuring/due diligence, fund raising, coordinating/executing the investment process, forensic investigations, financial/ commercial  investigations, strategic market reviews, turnarounds, taking companies off AIM, undertaking FD roles etc.

Nigel Wright Corporate Finance aims to engage interesting clients doing interesting things. Life is too short  than to do otherwise.
